a crack in the night!
A tall Catalpa fell during a storm last night. It made a wonderfully huge crack! Nathaniel and I ran out with flashlights to see what had fallen, no broken lines or damage-- still, it was one of those, "glad we're renting moments!". The fallen tree takes up half of the backyard. Evelyn and Eli loved exploring through its' branches this morning.

We had a tree fall down in our yard, when I was young. I played in that thing for hours. It was so novel. It must have been quite alarming to hear it fall in the night though, huh? Anyway, it looks like you guys are having a great time in Michigan, and that it's been a positive move for you. Love you.
i'm glad everyone was ok - and even the power and your home were safe! that's always good news. :)
i love the picture with the little ... is it a lichen? or hard moss? i love that last picture.
I was surprised one of our trees didn't come down in those winds. Glad everyone & everthing (except the tree) are safe.
Hope you had a fun weekend at G&G's
Wow! That must have scared you a little. Good thing it didn't hurt anyone. Love ya,
Leslie
